LOCH SEAFORTH
On March 22, 2025, a vehicle broke down aboard the 'Loch Seaforth', serving on the route Ullapool-Stornoway. As a consequence, the scheduled sailing from Stornoway at 2.30 p.mn. was delayed. After the vehicle was removed from board, the ferry finally departed Stornoway at 3:00 p.m., 30 minutes late, with an ETA in Ullapool as of 5:45 p.m.
ISLE OF MULL
The 'Isle of Mull', serving on the route Oban - Colonsay, suffered an issue with the embarkation slide of the Marine Evacuation System (MES) on March 21, 2025. As a consequence, the passenger capacity on these sailings had to be reduced. Passengers were advised to book in advance.
MINCK
On the morning of March 24, the departure of a migrant boat was reported to the CROSS Gris-Nez, following a call from SAMU 80 that could not be located. The CROSS then decided to deploy the 'Minck' to search the Bay of Somme area. At the same time, the 'SNS 7-034 Notre Dame des Sables' from the SNSM station in Berck-sur-Mer and the 'SNS 708 Quartier Maitre Gilbert Vanderbergue' from the SNSM station in Cayeux-sur-Mer were also deployed. Once the boat was located near Cayeux-sur-Mer, the 'SNS 7-034' made contact with the boat. As no request for assistance was received, the lifeboat began monitoring the boat. Once on site, the 'Minck' also came to monitor the boat, which then made a request for assistance. The 'Minck' recover all the occupants on board and brought them back to the quay in Boulogne-sur-Mer on the late afternoon. During the crossing, a conference call was established with the maritime medical coordination in Le Havre. Once dropped off at the quay, the 50 people were taken care of by the land-based emergency services.
RIDENS
During the night of March 20 to March 21, 2025, numerous migrant boat departures were reported to the CROSS Gris-Nez. Early on the evening of March 20, 2025, the CROSS Gris-Nez engaged the 'Minck' to locate a boat reported in the Slack dunes area. Once in the area, the 'Minck' monitored the boat. Faced with an engine failure, the migrants requested the rescue by the 'Minck', which picked up 62 people on board. They were dropped off at the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer in the middle of the night. The CROSS Gris-Nez then engaged the 'Abeille Normandie' off the coast of Slack. Following a request for assistance from some of the migrants, the tug rescued 35 people on board, including two injured people and one unconscious person. The CROSS deployed the French Navy's Dauphin helicopter based in Le Touquet to evacuate the unconscious person, whose condition was stable from the 'Abeille Normandie'. The Dauphin hoisted the victims and transported them to the hospital in Boulogne-sur-Mer, where they were treated in the middle of the night. The people rescued by the 'Abeille Normandie' were taken back to Boulogne-sur-Mer early in the morning, where they were treated by the firefighters. Meanwhile, the remaining people on board the migrant boat, who did not request assistance, continued on their way, remaining under the surveillance of French resources. In the middle of the night, the CROSS Gris-Nez then engaged the 'Jeanne Barret' and the 'SNS 076-Président Jacques Huret' from the Boulogne-sur-Mer SNSM station to locate a precarious boat in the Cran-Poulet area. The 'Abeille Normandie' was also deployed to support these resources. Once the overloaded boat was located, the 'Jeanne Barret' and the 'Abeille Normandie' launched their tenders to rescue all migrants who requested assistance. 63 people were thus picked up by the 'Jeanne Barret', which dropped them off at the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer early in the morning. Finally, also in the middle of the night, off the coast of Dunkirk, the CROSS Gris-Nez engaged the 'Ridens', which rescued eight people from a boat, wile the rest of the migrants continued on their way without requesting assistance. The 'Ridens' continued its surveillance until the early morning, and then headed for Calais to disembark the eight rescued people at the quayside. 168 boat people were rescued, including three injured people treated by land rescue services and the Boulogne-sur-Mer hospital.

STENA LIVIA
The 'Stena Livia', which currently sails on the Baltic Sea between Travemünde and Latvia, has been sold to the New Zealand shipping company, StraitNZ Bluebridge, and will be used on the Cook Strait. The vessel will be dry-docked for major maintenance work before the trip goes down under. The ferry will join its sister ship, the 'Connemara', on the route from July 2025. This ship was purchased by StraitNZ Bluebridge from Stena RoRo at the end of 2022.
ISLE OF ARRAN
The 'Isle of Arran', serving on the route Oban-Craignure, suffered a technical issue affecting the gearbox, on March 23. As a consequence, the following sailings have been cancelled: Departure Oban at 09:55 a.m. Departure Craignure at 11:10 a.m. Departure Oban – 3:50 p.m Departure Craignure – 5:00 p.m. After the issue was resolved, the ferry returned to service on March 24 with the 06:45 p.m. departure from Oban as scheduled.
LOCH BUIE
The Loch Buie', serving on the route Fionnphort-Iona, suffered a technical issue encountered during weekly drills on March 22. As a consequence, the 11:00 a.m. sailing from Fionnphort and 11:15 sailing from Iona were delayed. Crew were working to resolve the issue. The ferry then loaded for a departure from Fionnphort at 11:25 a.m., with the return sailing departing Iona at 11:35 a.m.. The normal timetable was resume with the 12:45 p.m. departure from Fionnphort.
SEABOURN VENTURE
On March 23, 2025, the 'Seabourn Venture', which was sailing 100 nautical miles from Tenerife, enroute from Montevideo to Lisbon, requested the urgent medevac of an injured crew member. The RCC of Salvamento Marítimo in Tenerife mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 202, which hoisted the conscious victim and transferred him directly to a hospital for further medical care on a higher level. The cruise ship reached the port of destination on March 25.
JEANNE BARRET
On the evening of March 21, 2025, a migrant boat was reported departing the coast of Hardelot to the CROSS Gris-Nez, which then engaged the 'Jeanne Barret' to monitor the precarious boat. In the middle of the night, following engine damage, the migrants requested assistance. The 'Jeanne Barret' rescued the 57 people on board the boat and brought them back to the port of Boulogne-sur-Mer.

THEOLOGOS P
On the morning of March 21 , 2025, th Port Department of Gavrio of the Andros Port Authority was informed by the Captain of the 'Theologis P” that in the Kakogremi sea area outside the port of Gavrio, it was impossible to untie the starboard anchor, due entangled nets. The ship had set sail for the port of Rafina, with 44 crew members and 312 passengerson obard. The anchor was untangled from the nets, and the ship continued its voyage to the port of Rafina.
ROTSUND

ISLE OF ARRAN
The 'Isle of Arran', sailing on the route Oban-Colonsay, suffered technical issues affecting the lifeboat davit and the starboard side FRB on March 8, 2025. As a consequence, there will was a reduction in the maximum number of people on board since. The booking system has been updated to reflect this reduction. Repair plans were being worked on, and the operator CalMac was in the process of arranging attendance from specialist engineers to rectify the issues. On March 12, the technical issue affecting the lifeboat davit and Starboard FRB on the ferry has been resolved, and the full passenger capacity has thus been re-instated.
LOCH ALAINN
The 'Loch Alainn', serving on the route Barra - Eriskay, suffered a technical issue with the main engine on March 18. As a consequence, the vessel has been removed from service. As the ferry 'Loch Bhrusda' was unable to operate due to crew availability, all vehicle sailings were cancelled. A passenger charter vessel was operating an amended timetable on March 18 and 19:. After the repairs to the main engine have been completed on March 20, the sailings were expected to operate according to the published timetable. A slight issue with a sensor was identified. The crew will continue to monitor, and spares weere in transit to the vessel. The 09:15 a.m. departure from Ardmhor departed from Barra at approximately 09:30 a.m. instead. The morning sailings were remaining liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice. After the technical issue has been resolved,the 'Loch Alainn' resumed the scheduled service on March 21 with a delayed 11:10 p.m. departure from Ardmhor.
SIEMPRE SANTA ROSA
The 'Siempre Santa María', with 13 on board, was disabled and adrift due to nets entangled in the propeller on March 20, 2025. The SAR boat 'Salvamar Castor' was deployed to assist and took the ship in tow after finishing hoisting fishing nets. On the approach to Gijón, the tug 'Alonso de Chaves' (IMO: 8411164) took over the towing wire. During the docking operations, the SAR boat 'Salvamar Rigel' and the 'LS Ballast' remained on standby to assist if necessary, always at a safe distance to avoid snagging net gear on the propellers. SUPERFAST III
On the afternoon of March 21, 2025, the Port Authority of Patras was informed by the Captain of the 'Superfast III'', that while the ship was on a scheduled route to the ports of Igoumenitsa and Ancona, a 52-year-old Greek passenger required immediate medical attention. The ship returned to the port of Patras, where the patient was safely disembarked. He was then transported by an ambulance to the General University Hospital “Panagia ii Voithia”.
