Emergency services called due to a suspected fire on the 'Sulomaro' on March 24, 2025, at around 4 p.m. The skipper was called by Rijkswaterstaat when it sailed on the Dordtse Kil. The ship had to move to the side and wait for the fire brigade to arrive. Something in the cargo of scrap iron had started to simmer. But there were no open flames. Also the patrol boat 'RWS 73' was deployed to the ship, which remained moored in De Wacht in 's-Gravendeel. LCT SJP 168 A
On March 13, 2025, the LCT 'SJP 168 A' capsized in the waters of North Maluku. The vessel, with eight crew members, suffered water ingress at the bow in pos. 00°32.500' S 125°21.500' E after being hit by high waves at around 8:00 p.m. WITA, causing it to end bottom up. Four crew members, Philips J. M. Nasarany (Captain), Rahmat (Second Engineer), Hamdani (First Helmsman) and Irwandi (Second Helmsman). suirvived. Four other crew members remained missing, identified as: Mufli (Chief Officer), Baharuddin Jamani (Chief Engineer), Suber (Oiler) and Sapri (Cook) The four survivors were rescued by the fishing vessel 'Mirza' and transported to Tifure Island, approximately 30 miles from the accident site. They were sheltered at the KSOP Class II Ternate Wilker Tifure Office, awaiting evacuation to Ternate aboard the 'Kieraha III' on March 15. In the waters of Keramasan, Musi River, Palembang, the barge 'Lapuas Jaya 3023,' loaded with coal and towed by the 'Johan Jaya 171', allided with a floating house on the river bank on March 12, 2025. The accident happened while the vessel was maneuvering to change course and relocate from Keramasan waters to Pulau Salah Nama waters. Strong ebb currents caused the vessel to lose control. The floating house was damaged, along with three wooden boats belonging to local residents. No casualties or injuries were reported. The incident did not cause any damage to the vessel, pollution, or environmental disturbances. The 'Johan Jaya 171' and the 'Kapuas Jaya 3023' were anchored in Pulau Salah Nama waters for a physical inspections. The relevant authorities were conducting further investigations to determine the exact cause of the accident. The LPG tanker 'Marianna Glory' (IMO: 9275426) was in collision with the unloaded 'AOM Julia' in Surubaya, en route to Makassar, in pos. S 01° 19.965' N 111° 1.60' E, on March 17, 2025, at around 5 a.m. WITA. It ran into the starboard side of the other ship and penetrated the hull, which was breached over several meters length at the height of cargo hold no. 4, and itself suffering deformations to the bow and damage to the port side foreship. The 'Marianna Glory' had completed its Ship-to-Ship (STS) operation and resumed its voyage to Makassar, carrying 8,000 metric tons of LPG, when it encountered severe weather conditions, resulting in the collision with the 'AOM Julia', which was preparing to anchor in Zone A Balikpapan. The patrol vessel 'KNP 349' was deployed to the scene, led by the Head of Patrol Supervision and Investigation (PSC). An initial assessment was conducted to identify potential marine pollution. Preliminary findings indicated no signs of pollution in the waters. As of March 19, 2025, the tanker was moored in pos. 01° 20' N 117° 02' E. The operator Reis Nordland was waiting for spare parts for repairs.There was a shuttle boat from Nordnesøy at 05:45 a.m. which then followed the scheduled route. The ship was expect to leave Nordnesøy at approximately 1:15 p.m.
