The “Volcán de Tauce” suffered an engine a breakdown in the port of Santa Cruz de La Palma on Nov 10, 2024. It was supposed to leave at 11:45 a.m. and finally sailed at 2 p.m. from the port of Los Cristianos almost three hours late, en route to La Palma, The Armas Trasmediterránea Group plans to replace the ship from Jan 1, 2025 with the catamaran “Volcán de Tirajana”.

SATURN I
On Nov 11, 2024, the 'Saturn 1', while ballasting en route from Istanbul to Azov, suffered an engine failure in front of Ahırkapı. The tug 'Kurtarma 11' (IMO: 9854399) and a pilot were deployed to assist by the VTS Center in Istanbul. The ship was towed to Küçükçekmece and anchored in pos. 40° 57' N 028° 48' E for repairs.
REGAL PRINCESS
The 'Regal Princess' had also cancelled the sailing on Nov 10 due to a second issue that occurred on the vessel. A team has been working to address a major technical issue involving one of the power generators, which has been successfully repaired. As the vessel was preparing for the next sailing, a second generator suffered a technical failure., which meant additional time out of service was needed to ensure the vessel would be fully operational and safe. It wa unclear whether the failure of two different generators was related or simply coincidental. An engineering team was investigating the issue and ensure all repairs get completed in Galveston,
SALVAMAR ADHARA
The CCS of Salvamento Marítimo in Las Palmas has coordinated the assistance to two boats with 50 and 60 people on board by the 'Guardamar Calíope' on Nov 8. The 'Guardamar Urania' has rescued another 67 people from a rubber boat, which had been spotted by a fishing boat, The 'Salvamar Al Nair' assisted another rubber boat with 69 people on board. All migrants have been disembarked in Arrecife. During the early morning, the 'Salvamar Adhara' assisted 101 people aboard a cayuco, which was located 10 nautical miles south of La Restinga. DOUBLE DELIGHT
A recreational fisherman has found the crew member who had gone missing from the 'Double Delight' after t´20 hours in the water. The fisherman, coincidentally a doctor, found the man while returning from a day out fishing. The man, aged in his 20s, was spotted floating in the water off Blacksmith Beach, south of Newcastle, on Nov 8 before 6:30 p.m. after he went overboard on Nov 7 at 11:30 p.m. Two Marine Rescue NSW vessels were tasked by Police Marine Area Command to search for the man off the coast of Redhead, about six kilometres north of where he was eventually found. He was taken to the John Hunter Hospital for treatment and was being monitored by medical staff under the surveillance of the Australian Border Force (ABF). He was in a serious but stable condition when he was taken to hospital, being treated for suspected hypothermia. He was conscious and alert when assessed.
