The 'Loch Tarbert', (IMO: 9039389)), serving on the route Tarbert-Portavadie, suffered a technical issue with the main engine on Oct 26, which requires further investigation. As a consequence, the departures from Tarbert at 08:00 a.m. and 09:00 a.m. and from Portavadie at 08:30 a.m. and 09:45 a.m. have been cancelled. After the issue was resolvedm the service resumed with the 4:15 p.m. sailing from Tarbert.

TYCHO BRAHE
The 'Tycho Brahe',, serving on the Øre Sound on the route Helsingør - Helsingborg, suffered problems most of Oct 24, 2024, and also on Oct 24 with the bow visor, which caused some delays. There is a cylinder that must be replaced, so the opertor was forced to take the 'Tycho Brahe' out of service in Helsingborg on Oct 24, as the visor has to be open when they have to replace the cylinder. The sail plan was supplemented by the ferry 'Mercandia IV'.
LCT GOLDEN BELLA
The LCT 'Golden Bella' ran aground on the shoreline in Sitio Noah, Barangay Calajoan, Minglanilla, Cebu, due to strong waves brought about by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine on Oct 23, 2024. The ship drifted to the shore after its both anchors failed. The hull was to be inspected by divers for any damage. The Coast Guard Sub-station Minglanilla was monitoring the situation in preparation for an oil spill that may result from the incident. ALPHENAAR
The 'Alphenaar' , 1881 ts (EU-No.: 02338177), en route from Gouda to Rotterdam, allided with the railway bridge over the Gouwe near Gouda on the morning of Oct 24, 2024, causing train traffic between Gouda and Alphen aan den Rijn to come to a standstill for at least a few hours. The incident occurred at around 9:10 a.m. near the Nieuwe Gouwe OZ in Gouda. The emergency services were called in. ProRail is investigating the damage to the bridge. The vessel appeared to have freed by lowering inself a little with ballast water and sailed on, towards the Juliana Lockand the Hollandsche IJssel, where the police stopped the voyage. Train traffic was resumed around 11:00 a,m.
EXCELSIOR
On the evening of Oct 23, 2024, a fire broke out in the funnel of the “Excelsior” in the port of Genoa, ahead of the departure to Palermo. The ship, which was due to leave at 11 p.m., remained stationary in the port for 12 hours with 252 passengers and over 300 vehicles on board, including commercial vehicles and cars, and left again on Oct 24 shortly before 11 a.m. The fire started shortly before departure from the smoke exhausts. The crew managed to put out the flames The Coast Guard and Rina carried out inspections on board. The passengers were promptly assisted and kept constantly informed. Water and snacks were offered free of charge and meals and breakfast offered free of charge.
