A container with 500 kilos of cocaine was seized in the port of Antwerp, which had been scanned in the port of Montevideo. The male arrested in connection with the investigation has been released from detention without charge. A Garda Family Liaison Officer (FLO) continued to engage with and support the family of the deceased. The Scottish Government is in advanced negotiations to lease the 'Spirit of Tasmania IV' to house Ukrainian refugees. The ship, which arrived at the port of Leith in late 2024, would replace the 'Victoria I' that previously accommodated displaced Ukrainians.
