Welding work caused engine room fire
On Apr 21, 2016, at 11.15 a.m. a fire broke out aboard the "Wilmar", 1157 ts (EU-No.: 06004136) in the drydock of the Tinnemans shipyard in Maasbracht, Limburg. It was caused by sparks of welding work at the outside of the ship which set alight the engine room. The fire rescue tackled the fire with foam, and it was out at noon. All workers had been able to leave the ship in time. No one was injured. The fire rescue carried out measurements to see if dangerous substances have been released to make sure the workers may return to work safely.
