First Evergreen Line Vessel Ever Berths In Nigeria

Sat Jul 14 09:57:00 CEST 2012 arnekiel

Evergreen Line, operator of one of the largest container vessel fleet in the world, has made its debut into Nigeria. The company’s vessel, Yellow Sea, on June 17th 2012 made its maiden voyage into Nigeria, using APM Terminals Apapa as her first point of call with more than 1,000 containers. Evergreen Line, owned by Evergreen Marine Corporation, is represented in Nigeria by Hull Blyth Nigeria Limited. Managing Director of Hull Blyth Nigeria Limited, Mr. Christian Holm, said that Evergreen Line ships would make regular calls at Nigerian ports to boost the country’s aspiration for economic development. Holm added that Evergreen’s decision to link the world to West Africa followed the launch of its new service with four ships, each with a 3,000 TEU capacity, in a joint service with UASC and Hanjin. http://pmnewsnigeria.com/2012/07/13/evergreen-line-vessel-berths-in-nigeria/
