Allision in Brunsbüttel
On Feb 23, 2020, at 5.08 a.m. the 'RMS Twisteden' was caught by a wind gust upon entering the locks of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel enroute from Rotterdam to Sölvesborg priior to its eastbound transit. The ship was scraped along the quay before being brought under control again, and the incident was investigated by the police. The vessel was allowed to cintinue its voyage at 6.50 a.m. with an ETA in Sölvesborg as of Feb 24.

On Feb 19, 2011, at 5.50 p.m. the "RMS Twisteden" was in collision with an inland tank m/v at Duisburg near the Baerler Bridge. It veered to port and ran into the midship section of the tanker. The double hull on its port side suffered a hole. The "RMS Twisteden" suffered a hole in the bow and some dents. A technical failure of the rudder gear of the "RMS Twistede" was thought to have caused the accident. Both ships will have to undergo before being allowed to proceed. The "RMS Twisteden" was underway from Duisburg to Gool with 960 tons aluminium. It berthed at Duisburg in Basin A.
