Freighter detained for defiencies

besides the Dutch cargo m/v "Crownbreeze" (IMO: 9195652), also the "Volgo Balt 229, which had entered the port of Södra Mönsterås on Oct 1, 2017, coming from St. Petersburg, after was detained by the Swedish Transport Agency during an inspection found defiencies which have to be rectified. Both ships have remained berthed at Port Jatterson since.

Grounding on Neva river

On June 12, 2016, the "Volgo Balt 229" ran aground on the river Neva at km mark 1311. The ship was en route from St. Petersburg to Lake Ladoga. It could be refloated on June 13 and resumed its voyage, no damages reported.

Allision in Brunsbüttel

Coming from Riga, the "Volgo Balt 229" allided with the Brunsbuettel lock when departing towards the Northsea and being destined for Dordrecht, on May 3, 2012, at 12.10 p.m. One tug was soon attached to the casualty, a second tug was called to assist too, and the ship was then moored for investigations.
