Grounding on the Danube
In the night of July 29, 2014, the "Treasures“ had a bottom touch on the Danube near Winzer on the left side of the river at km 2267. The ship was on a cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest and was coming from Deggendorf, when the port side stern struck bottom, damaging the propulsion unit. The ship was able to proceed to Passau with the remaining engine and docked at 2 a.m. Divers surveyed the hull for damage. About 50 liters hydraulic fuel had leaked into the river, but no spill was detected. The vessel left Passau again at 3 p.m. and continued to Linz where it berthed at 9.20 p.m.
