Grounding off Randers

The 'Starmi', enroute from Slite to Randers with a cargo of cement, ran aground on March 8, 2020, when being about to enter the Randers Fjord. The 'Sabotøren ' of the Danish Home Guard's was sent to assist. The ship had suffered damage to its clutch. It was reloated and towed to Randers where it berthed at Gudenå at 10 a.m. It left Randers again on March 10 at 3 p.m., headed to Svendborg, where it arrived on March 11 at 8.30 p.m. and berthed at the Marstal Yard A/S.

Engine damage in Casquets TSS

The "Starmi", en route from Kolding to Leixoes with a crew of six on board, was reported as not under command in position 49 51 30 N, 003 12 28 W, on Nov 9, 2018, at 07.30 a.m. The ship left the Casquets TSS southwest bound channel for small repair works to its main engine and a change of the exhaust pipe. The estimated time for repair works was around two hours. The vessel was carrying 3351 tonnes of scrap steel in bulk. After the repairs it continued the voyage with an ETA as of Nov 12.
