Engine room fire quickly contained
On Apr 7, 2015, at 5.46 p.m. a fire broke out in the engine room of the Dutch flagged, self propelled barge "Earth Quake", 1299 ts (EU-No.: 02317994), which was berthed at the quay of the Rhine port of Wageningen. It was extinguished by firefighters within short time, but cause a lot of smoke. The fire was probably caused by overheating inside the ship. Damage remained limited due to the quick reaction. The damage to the ship remained limited.
