Brand new passenger ship sheltering in Kiel
On Nov 9, 2017, the "Seehielbad Zingst" berthed at the Tiessen Quay in Kiel sheltering from stormy weather during the delivery voyage from Remagen to the Darß voa Haröomgem. The ship had been built at the Müller Stahlbau in Oberwinter upon the Rhein and had started the trip downstream to the Netherlands on Oct 14. The windows of the saloon were sheltered with wooden panels as a protection against the waves of Northsea and Baltic Sea. Already in Harlingen the ship had to wait for improvement of the weather to get to Cuxhaven. On Nov 9 it transited the Kiel Canal. The crew expected to leave Kiel around mid of the week.
