75 migrants escorted to La Restinga
On the morning of Dec 17, the 'Salvamar Acrux' accompanied a cayuco, which had been located three nautical miles south of La Restinga, to this port. The boat had on board 75 sub-Saharan people, among them three women and four minors. The response was coordinated by the CCS Tenerife of Salvamento Marítimo.
117 migrants assisted to La Restinga
On the morning of Dec 15, the 'Salvamar Acrux' assisted the 117 occupants of two cayucos which had been sighted 96 nautical milessouth of La Restinga by a rower who was participating in an oceanic regatta. The migrants were disembarks in La Restinga (El Hierro). The response was coordinated by the controllers of the CCS Tenerif and also involved the Helimer 204 SAR helicopter, the Sasemar 103 aircraft and the SAR boat 'Guardamar Polimnia'.
80 migrants assisted off La Restinga
On the early morning of Dec 10, a cayuco was located 1.5 nautical miles south of La Restinga. The CCS Tenerife of Salvamento Marítimo mobilized the 'Salvamar Acrux' and LS 'Mike 02' of the Cruz Roja to the scene. The 'Salvamar Acrux' escorted the boat to the port of La Restinga, where the 80 sub-Saharan people on board, among them 26 women and four minors, were safely dismebarked.
