Two men arrested after stealing lubricants from confiscated ship
A man was arrested by the finance police together with an accomplice, a custodian, after trying to steal lubricants from the 'Remus', which is detained in Palermo. He was the owner of a storage company located at the port. With a lifeboat, he allegedly stole 60 liters of engine oil from the "Remus", which had seized because it was used to transport 20 tons of hashish in 2021. The custodian was banned by the judge from this activity for eight months. The police also seized the lifeboat, the plastic cans with the stolen oil, a transparent rubber tube and a sheath.

Remus, which was detained at Palermo, on Aug 9, is still stopped and is near Palermo Port, as of today.
Remus intercepted with 20 tons hashish
The "Remus" was intercepted in international waters in central Mediterranean on the final stage of a joint operation carried out by the Montenegro police, US’s DEA and Italian police. 20 tons of hashish worth 65 million Euro were found on board of the ship. 11 Montenegro citizen were arrested. The "Remus" left the port of Zelenika and sailed to Morocco, where she loaded the drugs and was intercepted on the return trip.
