Boat sank by King Harold recovered

Tue Apr 15 10:21:06 CEST 2014 Timsen

While the "King Harold" remained on Santa Marta anchorage after the collision with the "La Ballena" on Apr 11, the latter was recovered by Drummond with the vents of the fuel tanks on board still closed so that the maximum amount of diesel fuel that may have spilt was approximately 10 gallon from the fuel lines between the tank and the engine. The construction material that was transport by the boat was in the process of being recovered on Apr 14. The materials consisted of several sections of steel pipes used for the construction of a new dock. The Port of Santa Marta was carrying out an investigation regarding the causes of the accident.
