Tug and barge ran aground at Ritthem
The "Phoenix", 37 ts (ENI-No: 02314304), ran aground with a pushed barge on the jetty of the Europe Way South at Ritthem on Jan 22 around 1.30 a.m. The vessels got stuck enroute from Flushing East to Antwerp with a cargo of coal. The tugs "Multratug 9" and "Multratug 27" as well as the patrol boat "RWS 78" of Rijkswaterstaat attended at 2 p.m. About 20 minutes later the tugs managed to pull the pushed barge off which was taken back to Flushing East for inspections. t 7.30 p.m. the vessels resumed their voyage.
