Repairs of collision damage completed
While the Danish roro ferry "Primula Seaways" (IMO: 9259513), ramained at the Lindoe Shipyard OSS in Vigeroe after the collision with the "MSC Madrid" off Flushing on March 11, the latter sailed from Antwerp Shiprepair on March 13 at 6.40 a.m. and headed to Rotterdam as first port of call after repairs. It berthed at the ECT Delta Container Terminal Europahaven the same day at 10.45 p.m. After cargo operations she was to continue to Bremerhaven, ETA March 15.
Allision off Flushing
In the morning of March 3, 2018, at 2.15 a.m. the roro ferry "Primula Seaways" coming from Terneuzen, was in collision with the "MSC Madrid" off Flushing. Both ships were underway in the same direction, when the container ship ran into the ferry's side. The damage to the port side of the "Primula Seaways" was considerable, but the ship could later continue the journey to Ghent, where she berthed at 3 p.m. The "MSC Madrid" was moored at Wielingen North anchorage, having sailed from Hamburg on March 1 and being bound to Antwerp where she finally berthed on March 4 short past midnight.
