Detained vessel shifted to pier T in Veracruz

Thu May 26 11:04:08 CEST 2016 Timsen

The "Caballo Maya" has recently been moved from the anchorage of Veracruz to Pier T reight before the start of the cyclone season because of safety concerns in regard of problems with the main engine due to a lack of maintenance. Because of the legal situation no one could get to maintain it off the port. Later the ship will be removed to another area of the port of Veracruz because of the celebration of the Navy Day on June 1. The ship belongs to the fleet of the oil company Banamax that was seized by the federal government for an alleged fraud of more than six billion Pesos.
