Status of detained ship could be resolved within one month

Within 30 days the legal status of the "Caballo Maya" could be resolved according to the former captain of Puerto de Veracruz, Delfino Cruz Santos. In the meantime the ship will continue to be under guard at the facilities of the port of Veracruz. The vessel was currently in the possession of the Panamanian company Marfield LTD. Before leaving, she will have to pay for the time docked in the port or at least guarantee it. The crew was relieved by another.

The "Caballo Maya" is back at the T dock after more than a year in the port of Veracruz during which its legal status has not been resolved. The ship belongs to the fleet of the oil company Banamax that was seized by the federal government for an alleged fraud of more than six billion Pesos.
