Ferry lifted off reef
In the morning of Feb 6 the ''Lovund Superior' was lifted off the reef in Lurøy by the salvage ships with the offshore supply tug 'Nautilus Balder' (IMO: 8406157) and the barge carrier 'Nautilus Maxi' (MMSI: 258269500) of the Seløy Underwater Service, After the salvage, the ferry was taken to the quay at Onøy. Ferry grounded off Lurøya
The 'Lovund Superior', 106 gt (IMO: 8222331, with three people on board ran aground west of Lurøya in Nordland in pos. 66° 25.91' N 012° 49.24' E on Feb 5, 2020, and was breached with ensuing water ingress. Several vessels have responded to the situation and were on their way to the accident. At 8.52 a.m. a rescue boat was deployed from the ferry 'Regine Normann' and picked up the three. They were then dropped off on board a fishing boat, and the ferry continued its voyage at 9 a.m. Work was on to salvage the speedboat. The salvage ships 'Nautilus Survey' (IMO: 9176943), which arived at 10 a.m., and the 'Nautilus Aldra' (IMO: 7409877) of the Seløy Underwater Service, which came from Bjørn in Dønna, were deployed to the grounding site. On Feb 6 the ferry was still stuck. The offshore supply tug 'Nautilus Balder' (IMO: 8406157), the barge carrier 'Nautilus Maxi' (MMSI: 258269500) and the salvage ship 'Nautilus Survey' (IMO: 9176943) were attending the ship with about a dozen salvors.
