Allision in Kaliningrad

The "Osa" allided with a floating pier in the port of Kaliningrad on March 26, 2017, at 4.40 a.m. while maneuvering to its berth in the port with pilot on board. The accident was caused by gear trouble according to the MRCC, or by a pilot's mistake, stated the owner. The foreship slammed into a catwalk which was damaged. The vessel was inspected by the Port State Control. As there were no deficiencies on board and the ship moved to Berth No. 16 for unloading.

Grounding in Kiel Canal embankment

The "Osa" enroute Brake-Koge ran into the southern embankment of the Kiel Canal at km 10,5 sailing eastbound on Jan 25, 2012, at 1 p.m. due to a navigational mistake. The accident happened at the end of the passing point Kudensee. The tug "Hans" which was by chance in a distance of 3 km proceeded to the accident site and pulled the vessel off, and it continued to Kiel, where it berthed at the Voith Quay in the North Port at 8.30 p.m. and proceeded some hours later afte rsurveys were completed.
