Tallship suffered water ingress
On June 14, 2021, the B'Kathleen and May' was distressed off the Pembrokeshire coast after it started taking in water. The RNLI lifeboat from Angle were paged at 9.28 p.m. to assist the ship which was four miles Southwest of St Ann's Head. In perfect conditions, the lifeboat was on scene just before 10 p.m. The on scene assessment found that the vessel's bilge pumps were coping well with the water, and there was a diesel back up pump as a precaution. The vessel was, however, disabled and adrift with the crew unable to restart the engines. A towing connection was established and the ship slowly pulled to Milford Marina. Outside the port, the RNLI boat took the casualty alongside to make the tricky entrance with such a large vessel. After being locked in to the marina, the tall ship was safely alongside on June 15 at 2.15 a.m. The lifeboat was rehoused at 3.15 a.m.
