Three stowaways found on board
Three stowaways were found hiding aboard the ‘Great Sheng Wen’, which was berthed at Paradip on Aug 30, 2024. The ship had arrived with a cargo of coal from Kavkaz, had discharged part of it at Visakhapatnam and continued to Paradip to unload a further 10000 metric tons for the Arcelor Mittal Nippon Steel India Ltd. The shipping agent Atlantic Global Shipping Pvt. Ltd. Informed the deputy conservator on the presence of the stowaways from Ghana. They had boarded the ship while it was unloading cargo. Medevac off Syros
The Port Authority of Syros was informed in the afternoon of Jan 15, 2020, that a 58-year-old crew member of the 'Zoe S', which was sailing northeast of Mykonos enroute from Jeddah to Novorossiysk, was in need of immediate hospital care. The ship proceeded to the anchorage of the port of Ermoupolis, from where the man was disemarked onto the "Megalochari X" and, accompanied by a patrol boatm was transported to the port, from where he was transported by ambulance to the General Hospital of Syros.
