Small oil spill in Nykøbing
Lubricating oil from the "Aldebaran" was spilt on Jan 2, 2017, in the port of Nykøbing. A small oil slick was observed after the leakage of about 10 liters by passers-by who raised the alarm at the municipality at 11 a.m. It was found out that the pollution emerged from the ship's propeller. The ship's crew pumped the remaining oil into another tank so that the leakage has stopped. The ship left port and berthed at the Duferco Danish Steel A/S in Frederiksværk on Jan 3 at 10.20 p.m.
