Ferry disruption affects fish transport

Sat Jun 11 14:19:51 CEST 2011 Timsen

The "Jondal" was out of service on June 10, 2011, due to technical problems. This affected especially Grieg Seafoods at Judaberg who usually send off up to ten trucks per day with salmon going to Asia and Europe and feared this would not reach the airport because in time. An oil pipe was ruptured and had to be repaired in a yard. By 2.15 p.m. repairs were expected to be completed and the ferry would start a trip to Eidssund and return to Judaberg, however, with delays.
