18 bales cocaine found on intercepted tender
French law enforcement officers seized 18 bales containing 480 kilos of cocaine aboard the 'Jamaica II' southwest of Martinique, in the vicinity of pos. 14 00 12N, 061 20 43W, in the late evening of Oct 22, 2023. The French Navy vessel 'Dumont d'Urville' intercepted the lighthouse tender, which was carrying the drugs and 18 bales aboard the vessel tested positive for cocaine. Four crew members were taken in custody in the Martique capital, Fort De France, in connection with the discovery of the illegal narcotics.
