Grounding off Lowestoft

On Sep 23, 2019, at 7.30 p.m. the 'Fluvius Tavy' ran aground, en route from Lowestoft to Rotterdam, 0,5 miles off the entrance of Lowestoft harbour in position 52 28 33 N, 001 45 57 E. The vessel was grounded on its port quarter and expected to refloat on the next tide. The ship was refloated on Sep 24 at 01.10 a.m. assisted by the service tug 'Jumbo''. At 01.45 hrs, UTC, the vessel confirmed no defects and continued the voyage to Rotterdam where it berthed at the EBS European Bulk Services at 2.45 p.m.

Allision in Esbjerg

On May 17, 2018, the "Fluvius Tavy", coming from Emden, allided with the drilling rig "Maersk Giant" in the port of Esbjerg. The coasterwas on its way into the port, when the outgoing current probably turned the ship around, and the master lost control. The ship drifted sideways into the rig andcaused minor damage. The "Maersk Giant" was located alongside two other rigs outside the dockyard at rhe Dogger Quay. The "Fluvius Tavy" berthed at the Shetland Quay at 8 a.m. The accident was being investigated by the Danish Navy Operative Command.
