Collision on Oude Maas
On Sep 26, 2018, around 10 p.m. the "Fiducia", 1300 ts (EU-No.: 04009830), was in collision with a merchant ship on the Oude Maas off Puttershoek. Rijkswaterstaat sent the two patrol boats "RWS71" and "RWS73" for assistance and investigations. While no one was injured, both ships suffered damage. The barge was breached on some meters length only centimeters above the waterline. It was berthed near the accident site. The other ship traffic was allowed to pass with caution. Walkway sunk in allision
The "Fiducia" in the morning of Aug 12, 2014, at 2 a.m. allided with the water bus stop in Ridderkerk due to a navigational error. The ship was slightly damaged, but the walkway has sunk and the pontoon suffered significant damage. For travelers from the ferry to and from Ridderkerk a bus service was started between Ridderkerk and Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. The ferry between Ridderkerk, Kinderdijk and Krimpen aan de IJssel now sails on to Hendrik-Ido-Ambacht. Because of the extra sailing time, an extra ship was deployed to reduce waiting time as much as possible.
