New lifeboat assisted disabled new Sea Shepherd boat
Only two days after she was christened on the DGzRs station Cuxhaven, the new lifeboat "Anneliese Kramer" was called to assist the "Emanuel Bronner“ which had suffered the failure of both engines in the Elbe estuary in the afternoon of June 12, 2017. The crew of five had dropped anchor near buoy 19 in winds of seven Beaufort. The lifeboat launched the daughter boat "Mathias" after having arrived on scene which took the casualty in tow. At 5 p.m. the Sea Shepherd boat was safely moored in the ferry port of Cuxhaven where the damage was repaired. The patrol boat for the Baltic Sea had been christened in Bremen-Vegesack only on June 1.
