Dirkje underway to Netherlands
The "Dirkje" resumed its voyage on the Dortmund-Ems-Kanal on Feb 28, after the leak in the bow was temporarily patched. The authorities allowed to continue the voyage to Delfzijl for permantent repairs. Water ingress in bow thruster room
The "Dirkje", 1153 ts (EU-No.: 02315127), suffered water ingress near the Hilter lock on the Dortmund-Ems-Canal on Feb 24, 2016. The ship was secured underneath the lock with a flooded foreship. At 11.50 a.m., after having passed the lock in the direction of Dörpen, the master remarked a leak in the bow thruster room. Then the whole foreship was flooded.
