Crew tested positive for COVID 19 - ship quarantined in Rostock

After the 'Kaie', coming from Vänersborg, arrived at Rostock on May 16, 2020, all eight crew were tested positive for the COVID 19 virus. The ship has been put under quarantine for two weeks.

Disabled vessel towed into Thyborøn

In the morning of Feb 13, 2018, the "Kaie" was towed into the port of Thyborøn by the "Esvagt Gamma" and the tug "Thor" from Hanstholm. The mooring manoever was assisted by the lifeboat "Martha Lerche". The ship, coming from Zwijndrecht, had suffered engine damage some days ago and had been anchored 12 miles west of Thyborøn since. Kaie free and sailing again

After the anchor chain of the "Alteland" which was still stuck to the rudder of the "Kaie", slipped, the "Kaie" was able to resume its voyage, as propeller and rudder weren’t damaged. On Jan 7 the vessel, after completing formalities, passed the Brunsbuettel locks eastbound around 1.30 a.m. and reached its destination Frederiksvaerk on Jan 8.
