Grounding off Stylida

Tue May 11 20:40:14 CEST 2021 Timsen

The 'Moseldijk' enroute from Hamburg to Stylida with a cargo of fertilizer, ran aground in the morning of May 11, 2021, 70 meters off the port of destination. Because the water had receded, it got stuck on sandy bottom with its draft of 5,80 meters. The incident was reported to the Port Authority of Stylida which carried out a check without noticing any pollution. The 'Ierax' was deployed to the scene. Due to a rise of the water level the ship managed to refloat later.
