CASPIA 9125126

Tue Apr 13 17:27:38 CEST 2010 Timsen

In the midday hours of Apr 13, 2010, the "Jo Ask" ran aground on the embankment of the Caland Canal at the Hoek van Holland on the Maas, near the 3rd Petrol Harbour of the Maas Lock. The ship had suffered rudder failure and got stuck on the northern shore. The captain accepted the assistance of the tug "Buizerd" which was first on scene, as well as the "Smit Bison" which, after the tanker refloated with own power, escorted the vessel to the petrol harbor.
