Grounding off Silloth
On the early morning of May 8, 2024, the 'Bremen', en route from Klaipeda, ran aground at Silloth at around 12:10 a.m. Efforts were underway to address the situation and minimize potential risks resulting from the grounding. The circumstances surrounding the grounding were under investigation, with authorities diligently ensuring the safety of both the vessel and the surrounding environment.
Freighter disabled off East Frisian islands
On Apr 7, 2018, at 4.30 a.m. the "Wilson Limerick", having sailed from Dunkirk on Apr 5 at 11.40 p.m. and being bound to Gdansk, was disabled and adrift in the Northsea north of Norderney. The vessel was taken on tow at 3.30 p.m. by the German tug "Wulf 9" (IMO: 8714243), towards Cuxhaven. It was safely berthed at the Steubenhöft on Apr 8 around 2 a.m. and left the port again on June 15 at 2.30 a.m., headed to Gdansk, ETA June 17, 3 a.m.
Grounding in Mariager Fjord
The "Wilson Limerick" ran aground approaching Hobro in the Mariager Fjord on Feb 3, 2018. The ship refloated by own means the same day. It was inspected by divers and allowed to resume service after the seaworthiness was confirmed. It arrived at Varberg on Feb 5.
