The "Auk Arrow" while she was moored at a shipyard in Rio de Janeiro, suffered an explosion in one of the ballast tanks. One person was found dead by rescue teams on site, while another was pronounced dead at the hospital. Among the three injured one person critically was injured. All five worked at the shipyard. None of the 31 the Indian crew members on board were injured. The Norwegian shipping company Kristian Gerhard Jebsen Skipsrederi (KGJS) does not know the cause of the explosion.
