Allision on the Danube
On Aug 3, 2011, the "Bavaria" allided with the lock wall underneath the Protzenweiher bridge. The Dutch self propelled barge "Ferox" moored at the left shore of the Regensburg lock, the "Bavaria 55" followed. But because she was thought to have been moved too quickly into the sluice channel, the Dutch captain created a cross-flow with his main engine the German self-propelled vessel could not catch and was pushed with its bow onto the right side and against the lock wall. Two crew members were slightly injured in the impact. The damage of the "Bavaria 55" amounted to 6,000 €.
