Mon Jun 25 19:51:37 CEST 2012 Timsen

On June 25, 2012, the "Sander 2" caused an oil spill in the port of Wilhelmshaven. The ship had suffered a leakage at the steering gear. Witnesses remarked intensive smell of oil in the early morning and an oil film on the water. The police found out that the oil leaked out of the "Sander 2" which had sheltered from a strom enroute Esberg - Norderney. The fire brigade Wilhelmshaven was called and laid out oil booms.
