False alarm caused engine shutdown

The "Arsland" had a false alarm, causing the main engine to shut down on the Saint-Lawrence River, off Contrecoeur, Quebec, in position 45 50 49.3 N, 73 16 34.1 W, on Dec 24, 2018, at 2.20 p.m. The crew restarted the engine, carried out the repairs and the vessel resumed its voyage from Montreal to the port of Quebec where it arrived on Dec 25 at 6 a.m.

Tanker grounding on River Thames - later refloated

Product tanker ARSLAND ran aground at around 1800 UTC Aug 16 on River Thames, UK, at South Stifford, while proceeding downstream, en route from South Stifford to Hamburg. Tanker was refloated in about an hour with the help of Svitzer tugs, no damages, no leak reported, she was taken to Tilbury and moored there in the evening Aug 16, as of 1200 UTC Aug 17 remained berthed. According to AIS track, tanker ran aground after suffering mechanical failure, so maybe she’s still in Tilbury undergoing repairs and inspection.
