Ferry suffered engine issue in Gourock

The 'Argyll Flyer', serving on the route Gourock-Dunoon, suffered an issue with the port side main engine, which required further investigations. As a consequence, the scheduled departure from Gourock at 5 p.m. and from Dunoon at 5:30 p.m. had to be cancelled, while the ship remained sidelined in Gourock. After the issue was resolved, the ferry resumed its service at 6:15 p.m. departing Gourock.

Ferry suffered issue with the main engine exhaust

The 'Argyll Flyer', serving on the route Gourock-Dunoon, suffered an issue with the main engine exhaust on Dec 11. All sailings are cancelled on the route. A Shuttle Bus departed Gourock at 06:10 a.m. and Dunoon at 06:45 a.m. After repairs have been carried out, The vessel successfully conducted sea trials on the morning of Dec 12 and resuming its service with the 09:15 a.m. departure from Gourock.

Repairs and overhauls completed

The technical issues with starboard main engine main engine of the 'Argyll Flyer' have been resolved, and additional overhauls and upgrades have been completed on Oct 29. An intensive crew familiarization was completed on Nov 3, and the ferry returned to the Gourock - Dunoon route service the sam day. Consequently, the 'Ali Cat' departed for the planned overhaul on Nov 9, resulting in single vessel timetable on the route which will continue to operate until Dec 24.
