Repairs and overhauls completed
The technical issues with starboard main engine main engine of the 'Argyll Flyer' have been resolved, and additional overhauls and upgrades have been completed on Oct 29. An intensive crew familiarization was completed on Nov 3, and the ferry returned to the Gourock - Dunoon route service the sam day. Consequently, the 'Ali Cat' departed for the planned overhaul on Nov 9, resulting in single vessel timetable on the route which will continue to operate until Dec 24.
Ferry sidelined due to technical issue
The 'Argyll Flyer' suffered a technical issue with the starboard main engine at Greenock on Oct 17, 2021. Engineers were deployed to the port to assist with investigations and repairs. The following sailings were cancelled: The departure from Gourock at 08.20 a.m., 09.20 a.m. and the departure from Dunoon at 08.50 a.m. and at 09.50 a.m. After repairs have been completed successfully, the vessel returned to service from Gourock at 10.20 a.m.
Ferry sidelined due to propeller damage
The 'Argyll Flyer' sufered propelled damage on Aug 6, 2021, and was taken out of the Gourock-Dunoon route. In Greenock, contractors started manufacturing and fitting a new propeller onto the vessel. The earliest date of return to service was Sep 20.
