Repairs in Dubai completed

On Oct 28 repairs of the 'APL Danube' at the shipyard in Dubai were completed, and the ship shifted to the anchorage area in order to carry out sea trials and performance tests. Various test and surveys were carried out under the supervision and satisfaction of the Class surveyor from Bureau Veritas classification society. A new set of certificates was issued by the classification society and flag state authority. The vessel was granted departure permission upon completion of final formalities. The 'APL Danube' finally sailed from Jebel Ali on Oct 30, bound Singapore with an ETA as of Nov 7.

New rudder and propeller fixed

A new rudder and propeller have been provided by the owners of the "APL Danube". Upon completion of permanent repairs, th vessel will carry out sea trials at the anchorage area in order to verify the final repair status of the main engine and pertinent systems. The "APL Danube" remainsed stationary at repair yard in Dubai as of Agu 5.

Propulsion repairs going on

Main engine crank shaft, propeller and rudder system of the "APL Danube" were undergoing further repairs, conducted by engineers approved by the manufacturers, at Dubai Dry Dock. Upon completion of repairs, sea trials will be carried out in the anchorage area in the presence of class surveyors.
