Kristiansand opens new cruise pier for large vessels
Kristiansand in Norway officially opens its new cruise pier on 31 May 2017, celebrating the milestone with a call from Costa Cruises’ Costa Favolosa. Located in the heart of the city centre, the new pier will enable Kristiansand to accommodate cruise ships the size of Royal Caribbean International’s 360-metre-long Oasis-class vessels. The port hopes that the pier will enable Kristiansand to become a ‘natural choice’ for a port of call between Norwegian cities Oslo and Bergen, and as an attractive destination for the Baltic market.
