Watchstanders from the 1st Coast Guard District command center in Boston were notified at approximately 5:20 p.m. of a distress call from a Canadian-registered 406 MHz emergency position indicating radio beacon registered to the "Romarin II". The "MSC Chicago" arrived on scene at 9:30 p.m. and safely rescued the four sailors.
