Captain taken to hospital after arm fracture

Wed Apr 24 10:39:47 CEST 2019 Timsen

In a fall on the "Aller", which was enroute from Gibraltar to Horsens, the captain suffered an arm fracture on April 23, 2019. At 1.30 pm, the traffic center of the Kiel Canal informed the marine police in Brunsbüttel about the accident. The man had slipped on the wet deck which had just been cleaned. Representatives of the shipowner met the man in the Brunsbüttel lock and took him to a hospital. After the accident investigation the Transport Association allowed the ship to transit the canal to Kiel with a special permission of the flag state where a relieving captain embarked on the ship.
