Water thruster suffered damage
On Sep 30 at noon the Port Authority of Naxos was informed by the Master of the 'Super Jet', that during the trransit of the vessel, without passengers, with 12 crew members on board, to the port of Athens Thiras, for the execution of its scheduled route, a damage was found to the external water thruster at port side . The ship continued its voyage at a reduced speed to the port of Piraeus, where it was safely berthed. The Central Port Authority of Piraeus prohibited the departure of the ferry, while the passengers were forwarded to their destinations by the care of the ship's owning company.
Ferry suffered electrical fault
On the morning of Aug 14, the Milos Port Authority was informed by the master of the 'Superjet' about an electrical fault, while the ship had already sailed to perform a scheduled route. The ship returned to the port of Milos, where an extraordinary inspection was carried out by officials of the Port Authority of Milos during which it was established that the ship's systems were in good working order. The master stated that it was a minor damage which had been fully repaired. Following this, the ferry departed to continue its approved route with 252 passengers.
Ferry suffered engine damage
On the morning of July 5, 2024, the Port Authority of Paros was informed by the Master of the 'Super Jet' about a damage to its port side outer main engine, before setting sail for the route to Naxos-Mykonos. The Port Authority of Paros initially prohibited the sailing of the ferry, but after presenting a seaworthiness certificate from the ship's surveyor, it was allowed a single voyage, without passengers, to Perama, where it arrived at 3 p.m. The passengers were forwarded to their destinations by the ship-owning company by the 'Express Jet'.
