Ballast water tank breached in grounding
After the 'ONE Manoever' ran aground on the Bramble Bank after it lost power on Oct 15, at 3.50 p.m. BST, remained at anchor off the Isle of Wight as of Oct 17, awaiting an underwater inspection. There had been no reports of pollution, and both crew and vessel were safe. Tthe ship has since regained engine power. A water ballast tank suffered a breach in the incident. Containership ran aground in the Solent
The 'ONE Maneurver' broke down on the Solent short time after leaving berthe 3-4 of the Southampton Container Terminal on Oct 15, 2024, at 3.20 p.m. en route to Rotterdam. The ship lost power off the coast of Calshot at 3.45 p.m. and subsequently ran aground on the Bramble Bank. The vessel dropped anchor and was assisted by the tugs 'Ayton Cross', 'Phenix' and 'Lomax' and the harbour master shortly after. The ship was refloated and moved back into the main channel. It anchored in the Solent in pos. 50° 35' N 001° 03' W at 8 p.m. and remained stationary as of Oct 16. Collision of Containership MOL Maneuver with Zhen He, None injured
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. announced that the MOL-operated containership MOL Maneuver collided with the containership Zhen He while under way on the open seas southeast of Hong Kong, on February 22, 2012, at around 17:45 p.m., Japan time. None of the crew was injured and no oil leak has been observed. The MOL Maneuver is capable of sailing under its own power. Meanwhile, MOL is investigating the situation on the other ship, but have not identified any injured persons or oil leakage. The MOL Maneuver serves on the Europe/Far East Asia route, and was under way from Singapore to Yantian.
