Maersk Drilling found job for warm-stacked rig Maersk Resolute
Maersk Drilling was awarded with new contract by Petrogas E&P Netherlands BV for the drilling of two offshore wells (A8 and A9) in Block A12 on the Dutch Continental Shelf in North Sea. The work will be held by the high efficiency jack-up rig Maersk Resolute. The drilling will be commenced in June 2017 and will estimated to last 75 days. Furthermore the contract has options to extend for drilling of additional five wells. Man medevaced after fall
In the morning of May 2, 2012, a crew member of the "Maersk Resolute" had to be medevaced by a rescue helicopter and was taken to the De Kooy Airport and then further to the Gemini hospital in Den Helder. At 08.45 hours the "Maersk Resolute" radiod that a crew member had fallen while the platform was about 75 miles northwest of Vlieland. The Coastguard Centre Den Helder sent the offshore rescue helicopter to the scene.
