Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
In the morning of Sep 20, 2018, the "Hjørundfjord",suffered technical trouble, and the departures from Festøya at 06.55 a.m. and 07.55 a.m. as well as from Solavågen at 07.25 a.m. were canceled by operator Fjord 1 for troubleshooting. Repairs were completed at 07.55 a.m., and the ship returned to the Festøya-Solavågen route.
Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
The "Hjørundfjord" had to suspend the service Festøy - Solavågen on Sep 23, 2015, due to technical trouble. After repairs at the quay in Solavågen the ship started trials in the foremidday. She had suffered problems with switching on one propeller due to an error in the electrical components. It was yet unclear how long it would take to rectify the errors.
Ferry disabled by leak in electrical system
The ferry connection Festøya - Solavågen was interrupted on July 2,2013, after the crew could not start the machine after having berthed in Festøya during the night. An electrician went on board the vessel at 10 a.m. to look at the electrical control system. It turned out that there was a leak that was causing the problem.
