The "Azra-S" has been refloated on Oct 22 and will discharge its cargo over the weekend. The tanker was refloated night with the assistance of the St. Croix-based tugboat "Storm". Divers who inspected the vessel found no damage to the hull and propeller. The "Azra-S" anchored further out to sea. Meanwhile, its sister ship "Ozden-S" has arrived in Basseterre and is now discharging its cargo of diesel. The "Azra-S" will discharge its 18,000 barrels of diesel after the Ozden-S completes pumping its cargo. After the grounding, measures were taken to protect the environment from any oil spill. Booms were placed around the tanker to contain any spill.

By Oct 11, 2010, the "Azra-S" remained grounded in shallow waters in the St. Kitts harbour, while an investigation has begun by local marine officials into the mishap one week ago. Two salvage companies are to submit contracts to the owners for the salvaging of the vessel with 18000 barrels of diesel onboard. It is not easy to just pull off the vessel where it is lodged on the seabed. It is very technical procedure. The Department of Maritime Affiars has commenced an investigation into the mishap in compliance with the Casualty Investigation Code of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO). In the afternoon of Oct 5 a tug from the Dutch island of St. Eustatius is on its way to dislodge the "Azra-S". The ship had arrived at Basseterre late Oct 3 afternoon with just over 22,000 barrels of diesel for Sol and Texaco. At about 8:00 p.m. on Oct 4 it broke its moorings due to rough seas after it had already discharged 3,900 barrels of diesel.
